From living and working in a rural community, I understand the unique challenges and strengths that come from an agricultural and rural life. I’ve built my life in this setting, raising heritage chickens and spent years breeding, training and showing horses. With a background in life and physical sciences, and experience in both private and public healthcare, I bring a well-rounded perspective to supporting rural communities.
As a Registered Psychologist, my approach incorporates various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), among others. While I work with individuals from all backgrounds and professions, I have specialized experience supporting first responders, healthcare providers, and those in high-stress, demanding roles—including farmers and ranchers.
I have a special interest in ADHD across all ages, emotional regulation, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, complex grief, and the mental health of healthcare providers. I also recognize farming’s unique stressors —succession planning, isolation, unpredictable weather, and financial pressures—and strive to offer practical, compassionate support tailored to these realities.
I provide in-person services in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and the Parkland County area; including: Onoway, Drayton Valley, Whitecourt, and Wabamun - as well as virtual appointments. I am passionate about working with rural populations and hope to provide meaningful support that respects your unique challenges, fosters resilience and enhances your well-being.
