Sarah Dedrick
RESEARCH ASSISTANT BIO
I am Sarah Dedrick, a recent graduate from the University of Alberta- Augustana Campus. I graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in kinesiology and psychology. I have lived in the Camrose area for the past five years, allowing me to become involved in the community. The close-knit community of Camrose allowed me the opportunity to foster relationships with local farmers and gain insight into farm culture.
Living in a small city surrounded by rural communities developed a passion to support local within my community. I am interested in pursuing a career in public health, specifically health promotion of topics often neglected in public discourse. Agknow’s emphasis on farm mental health fits into my experience and interests regarding research.
My professional goals include conducting research to normalize stigmatized topics in our society. In August, I will be moving to Austria to play professional volleyball. I am hoping to extend Agknow’s research project into farming in Europe.
