DOREEN BLUMHAGEN

Halkirk, Alberta

Doreen Blumhagen hails from a farm just north of the village of Halkirk.  Along side her husband Shannon, Doreen has an active role on her mixed grain and cattle farm.  When she’s not driving machinery, chasing cows or volunteering in her local communities, she has a business called Country Road Chats. 

There she does presentations on mental health by sharing her own humorous stories as well as providing tools and strategies to others to achieve mental wellness.  It is her hope that someday everyone will have discussions or “chats” about their mental health in their homes and be comfortable. 

Besides learning the hard way in life Doreen has her Mental Health and Psychological First Aid.
