Joanne Prysunka
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who lives and works in rural central Alberta. After spending 18 years working with agricultural producers in the finance industry, I returned to school and completed a master's degree in counselling psychology. I have a strong understanding of the diversity of agricultural operations and the multitude of stressors caused by weather, family dynamics, production, markets, and finances due to growing up on a mixed farm, living in a farming community, and working closely with agricultural operations of all types.
My counselling approach is unique to you and respectful of your background, beliefs, and your situation. I use an integrated approach of collaborating with you to ensure you get out of the therapy what you're seeking. What's most important for people to know about working with me is that I will be honest, honour your values and experience, sometimes challenge you, and provide a confidential and trusted relationship in which you feel supported.
