An Alberta approach to
farm mental health
Whether it’s accessing resources for yourself, or pointing a farmer in the right direction, AgKnow is your partner in the evolving landscape of farm mental health. Our vision is to create a shift in farming culture to one where caring for mental health is a natural part of farm life. We want to increase resiliency in farming communities, de-stigmatize mental health, reduce barriers to services, and stay relevant and current with the issues impacting the agriculture industry in Alberta.
An Alberta approach to
farm mental health
Whether it’s accessing resources for yourself, or pointing a farmer in the right direction, AgKnow is your key partner in the evolving landscape of farm mental health. Our goal is to increase resiliency in farming communities, de-stigmatize mental health through a farm-focused referral network, and stay connected with all stakeholders in the Albertan agriculture industry.
It’s time to change the culture of agriculture
We are creating a network of services that address the real needs of farmers to live their best life, contributing to the local economies and resilient rural communities. We are developing and adapting programs that fit farm culture, engaging with producer networks and working with policymakers to create a sustainable environment where farm families can thrive.

FARM TRANSITION SURVEY
"Agriculture is more than a business - it's a way of life. Farmers are deeply committed to the land, their animals, their families and their rural communities, and Alberta's government is just as committed to protecting farmers, their livelihood and their mental health. "
